All time favourite cars
A friend and myself decided to exchange our ten all time favourite cars, just for fun.
Here’s mine, ordered by age:
- Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic — 1936
- Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing — 1954
- Chrevrolet 3×00 (pickup) — 1955
- Corvette Stingray — 1963 (split rear window version)
- AC cobra 427 (duh!) — 1965
- Ford GT 40 Mk I — 1966
- Landrover Defender — any year
- Ferrari Dino 206 GT — 1968
- Jaguar XJ12 Series II — 1973
- Aston Martin Vanquish — 2001
Runner up:
11. Wiesmann GT MF4 — 2003
Apparently the 80s and 90s didn’t do it for me.

To put things in perspective, this list could have easily existed just out of Alfa Romeos. And to give even more perspective, one of the most ugly cars ever (“how to screw a great design, lesson 1”) is the Golf II (1983) (in my humble opinion, that is, of course
). Also I tend to have a lot more respect for designers who have to consider practical stuff and a tight price-tag, instead of just making a fast car with hardly a price limit at all. So my runner up is the Fiat Panda Mark I & II (1980).
